hi , when i add the column link_url_asset_website_url to the query it removes the Ads of type Collection. Can you fix this pls?
it seems also that it filters other ad types out sometimes.
Hi! Could you send a request which you use, please? And what is your usern_name or email?
Hi,
Can you add some example of this?
Hello, I’m having trouble with this field too, it returns null values on some ads. Looks like it depends on the type of ad. I see a fix is planned, any ETA? Thank you
Hello,
link_url_asset_website_url is a “breakdown” field from Facebook, which means that ads which don’t have a value for “The ID of the URL asset involved in impression, click or action” will not be included in the results. This includes for instance Carousel Ads.
We understand the need of having a URL field for all Facebook Ads, and we are investigating how to make this possible, until this is clarified it’s unfortunately difficult to provide a realistic ETA
Hello,
the “Ad Link” field was updated to include links for more types of ads, it should help for most cases now.
If we missed some specific types of ads please let us know!
Hello! Now the “Ad Link” field only shows Instagram posts (see attached file). So the field still doesn’t display the destination URL of the ad.
Could you please provide examples or more information about data you expect to see in the Ad Link column in rows which corresponds to http://fb.me/
website url?
As Octavian explained it, we need an URL field that works for all types of ads: it should display the clicked URL of the ad. At the moment, the “Ad Link” field seems to display the link to view the ad. In the example above, the field (whichever it is) should then always display an URL that starts with https://welcome.woopen.com/ or https://woopen.com/.
It is expected for the spend to be “wrong” when using the field “Website URL of the url asset” (link_url_asset_website_url
), because such field is a breakdown within the Facebook API so only records where such field exists will be returned.
“Ad Link” (link
) should instead return complete data. For the Instagram ones there doesn’t seem to be a way to get the clicked URL of the ad, so we are currently returning the Instagram “Permalink URL”
